Week of September 25^th - September 29^th

Upcoming Events:

Friday- September 29^th  Homecoming Vs. Hilton Head Christian.  We will attend the pep rally on this day, and we may be a few minutes later dismissing.  Students may wear a THA t-shirt and jeans on this day. (No charge!)

Monday, October 2^nd- Halloween Celebration money and volunteer forms are due

Learning Adventures for the Week:

Our theme next week will be shapes and sizes.  We will be doing many fun activities using the basic shapes (circle, square, triangle, rectangle, star, heart, and diamond).   

We will also talk about things being larger, smaller, or the same.  Letters will start to be introduced next week as well.  Our first letter will be “L”.

We will continue making our color posters to display in our classroom.  Please send in items that can be glued to a poster board and displayed for the remainder of the year.  This week’s colors are blue and orange.  Please send blue items in on Monday and orange items on Thursday.

Change of Date: Progress reports will go home on Tuesday, Sept. 19^th

Final turn in for PTO cookie dough sales- Sept. 21^st

Students may wear a black or neon top with uniform bottoms- Friday, Sept. 22^nd

Learning Adventures for the Week:

Due to the hurricane days we missed, we will continue with our Rainbow of Colors unit.  We will continue learning/reviewing our colors.  We will read many different books about colors and make some fun projects to go along with the stories.  

We will also continue making our color posters to display in our classroom.  Please send in items that can be glued to a poster board and displayed for the remainder of the year.  This week’s colors are yellow and purple.  Please send yellow items in on Monday and purple items on Thursday.

Reminders:

Pillowcases and blankets come home on Fridays to be washed and returned on Mondays. 

Please let Mrs. Wade or the teacher on duty bring your child into the hallway.  The tone of our day is set from the moment the students enter the classroom.  Please be respectful of our morning routines!

Sept. 5th- 8th

Week of September 5^th- September 8^th

Upcoming Events:

No school on Monday, Sept. 4^th in observance of Labor Day.

First turn in day for cookie dough sales –Sept. 7th

Mini Cheer practices Tuesday, Sept. 5^th and Wednesday, Sept. 6^th from 2:10-3:00. Pep rally performance/ half time performance on Friday, Sept. 8^th.

Lil’ Rebels run out with football players on Friday, Sept. 8^th

Friday, Sept 8^th – students not participating in the above mentioned events may wear a Hawaiian shirt with their uniform bottoms.
